With the new year near, I have thought back over this past year. I can hardly believe that this year is just about over.
Many things occured within the year:
Jan- Lillian began potty learning
Feb- Joey and I went for a night on the town in Nashville for Valentines Day with friends
Mar-We put a fence in and I spent and Lillian and I spent a week with my sisters family and parents.
Apr- We learned Lillian was allergic to diaper ointment---And we pushed the potty learning harder.
May- Joey spent a week in Washington State for training and brought home the H1N1 Flu and I had my wisdom teeth cut out.
Jun -Lillian made great headway on potty learning and we spent the month at the Library for the summer reading program and the pool on post!!! She loved it!
July- We went on our first camping trip as a family---SO MUCH FUN!!! and celebrated our 4th Anniversary(1st one together)
Aug- Joey had surgery on his arm and had a month off of work and we painted the kitchen
Sept- Lillian and I started back to school and Lillian was day time potty trained!
Oct- We cut pumpkins with friends and went trick or treating as a family.
Nov- We spent alot of quality time as a family and tried to destress...deployment was near
Dec- Joey deployed a week early and I struggled to find the interest to study for finals. Lillian learned the art of "holding it" till she woke up and became officially potty trained!!!

Roller coaster of my week
So Fall 2009 Semester has finally came to an end for me, as previously posted. I was concerned about a class, but as it turns out my hard work paid off!! I have 3 A's and 2 B's. I remain on the Dean's List which is Awesome!!! How I pulled of an A in the hardest class(social policy) I have ever taken, I have no clue, but I did and I am so excited. This was the top of the roller coaster!!!
The rest of the week has proved to be a nightmare with plumitting emotions. I am drained and am looking forward to the fresh start the new year brings.
We have owned our house since 2007(right before Lillian was born). We decided on a newer built home, so we would not have to worry about fixing anything while we owned it. I did not see this coming at all.....
Our current homeownership issue is water leakage. UGH..... Angry I am. Our water bill has been steadily rising over the last few months. We summed it all up to washing cars and washing the dog(used to take him to the groomers) and washing more laundry. But when the water bill jumped 20 dollars in one month I grew suspicious. Thinking the water company changed their rates, I called the water company. They sent someone out to look at our meter. The meter is moving and NOTHING is on in the house. Calcualations stated that we are loosing somewhere between 4-7 gallons of water an hour. I had someone come crawl around under house to check for leaky pipes... everything was dry, he could however hear water trickling under the front bedroom closest to the main pipe that goes out to the meter! Lovely. So now my husband is deployed and I have to begin the not so fun task to find a reputable plumber in our area to fix the problem.... As if I didnt have anything better to on my christmas break.
But thats not all!! Trying to calm down and focus on the task of finding the plumber, my cocker spaniel, Sammy, starts wimpering. The wimpers soon turned into full on cries. I walk into where he had been sleeping thinking he had a bad dream or he had to go to the bathroom. Poor think looked scared and in pain. I was asking him questions as if he could answer back...no replies! just stiffness, the cries had stopped at this point and he just laid there twisted up like a pretzel. At this point I was freaking out and crying. Was it a muscle spasm, was it a heart attack(he is 1 yr). Grabbed him up like a baby, put him in the back of the SUV and took him to the vet. When I opened the back he sit there wagging his tail as happy as can be. Feeling like an idiot in my nike pants and shirt with slippers and no coat, I take him into the office anyway. Dr. Burchett stated he had had a Seizure. I again start crying. At this point I could not control my emotions and explain to the Dr. the events of the day. He is now on medicine that is not so cheap. We will be looking into pet health insurance at the first of the year. I am scared for him.
I am in a Blah mood the week of Christmas.... Hopefully my parents can brighten my mood!!! Home here I come.... I need my dad's shoulder..lol

Night of Cartoons!

After getting home from my dad's 50th birthday party I wanted to dive right into organizing(things tend to get chaotic when my dear husband is home). I had planned to start in my bedroom closet and work my way out to the kitchen. Lillian was helping me sort laundry and she threw stuff away for me! She was such a big help! But like any two and a half year old, she lost her interest fast and started yelling "Santa, Santa"... I quickly realized she wanted to watch Christmas movies. So I went out to the living room to see what was on, to my suprise NOTHING "G" rated was on, so I flipped on video on demand where I found about 10 Christmas cartoons from Dora to the Smurfs. Franklin and the Smurfs were her favorite!
She was content to watch cartoon after cartoon. As each episode was over she ran into my room yelling "More santa mommy, more!"I believe I lost my motivation to organize before she lost interest in the Christmas cartoons. LOL.

Christmas Break
Yay! I have finished another semester successfully! Still waiting to see if I made the Dean's List again. I am saddened to say that one of my classes might come close to a C, but I have no one to blame but myself! I lost interest in stuying for the final before I even started studying for it! I decided that time would be better spent playing with Lillian who was desperately wanting mommy time after a week of finals. I did as much studying as I could after I put Lillian to bed. I think I did well for the most part!
I am so excited to spend 3 weeks with no interruptions with Lillian! Plans are in the making to spend some time with my parents and with my sisters family. I am also thinking about driving out to Knoxville, to spend a weekend with my very good friend from highschool!
LET THE FUN BEGIN!!!
